Tonics to get the Winter Sludge out.

Lemon Water Tonic

I swear by this one. I found this recipe on the internet and gave it a try, love it.

1 quart steamed distilled water

half of a lemon, sliced into round slices, remove seeds. one drop of lemon essential oil or lemon powder works well too.

Slice a half of a cucumber

put steamed distilled water into a 2 quart container, add sliced lemon, or the lemon that you have. Add cucumber and let stand in the refrigerator over night. Drink upon rising in the morning. Drink this before you do anything else, except maybe the bathroom. It is totally a gunk remover.

Dandelion flower tonic

Pour 1 pint boiling water over 1 oz. cleaned dandelion blossoms/flowers. Let steep, covered, for 10 minutes, strain and sweeten. (Never use white sugar or artificial sweeteners. Use raw honey or stevia only) Drink everyday until blossoms are gone. Pick young dandelion leaves for salads. They are loaded with vitamins and minerals that the body badly needs after a long hard winter.

Red clover tea

2 cups red clover blossoms

2 thin cinnamon sticks (1 teaspoon powdered cinnamon)

1 teaspoon grated, dried orange rind. (1 drop of food grade orange essential oil will work)

Chop and grate your clover blossoms cinnamon sticks. Put ingredients into a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Take 1 teaspoon of the blossoms and put into a cup. Pour boiling water over the mixture, steep covered for 10 minutes, then strain. Sweeten with honey or stevia.
